It is not always necessary to make a strict diet and restrict yourself too much, it could be enough just taking some small steps toward a more healthy life. I bet, you will see the difference immediately after few weeks!
Here what i mean:
1 Eat at least 5 portions a day of fruits and vegetables (possibly not out of season and organic);
2 Avoid snacks containing added sugar and tons of salts (you can prepare your own snacks following some healthy recipes);
3 Drink only/plenty of water, minimum 1,8 liters a day (reduce or eliminate soft drinks and/or alcohol);
4 Reduce size of the portions you eat (quality matters more than quantity)
5 Plan shopping and meals to avoid buying and consuming just rapidly what comes in front of your eyes.. dangerous!!
6 Do not use food as reward, at least not always!
As a starting point, you can select one of above mentioned tips and, once you are confident, add, one by one, all the others.
